Mayor to Showcase New Online Business License System

(Washington, DC) Mayor Anthony A. Williams will address the members of the DC Chamber of Commerce on February 28 about the DC government's effort to enhance business services. Mayor Williams will also join PEPCO in a demonstration of the online Master Business License (MBL) application. This new license is required for all businesses and non-profit associations that generate more than $2,000 in gross receipts.

The MBL is part of the government's online Business Resource Center at brc.dc.gov. The MBL allows small, large, profit and non-profit businesses the opportunity to apply and receive their business license and other services online.

Russell Simmons, Senior VP of Riggs Bank

   When:

In addition, the Omnibus Regulatory Reform Act of 1999 requires all businesses that generate more than $2,000 a year in gross receipts to obtain a Master Business License.
