Decisions and Appeals
Office of Adjudication
A Decision and Order (DO) becomes final fifteen (15) days after service plus three (3) days if mailed. A motion for reconsideration or a notice of appeal must be filed within fifteen (15) days after service plus three (3) days if mailed.
A notice of appeal is filed with one of the following bodies:
- Board of Appeals and Review (BAR)
- Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA)
- Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABRA)
- Business and Professional Licensing Administration (BPLA)
- District of Columbia Court of Appeals (DCCA)
The basis for appeals is set forth in DC Code 6-2723, DC Code 1-1510, and 16 DCMR 3118.
